You've waited your whole life for this . . . your senior year! A new journey lies ahead of you and there are so many choices to be made. Danette Kay Photography wants to make this process as easy and fun as possible for you, so that is why we've compiled a list of tips and information to help you prepare for your upcoming session with us.
Senior portraits are typically done in the spring or summer. Why? Because the weather is sunny and warm and the sun gives off a golden glow perfect for capturing a great look.
To make the best of your senior portraits, think about these questions when getting ready to book your session.
1. Where do I want them done?
2. Am I looking for modern & edgy or formal & posed?
3. What are my interests?
4. How do I want to remember myself in 20 years?
No more assembly line mug shots. You want your best look and something that reveals the real you. Danette strives to photograph you as unique as you are.
Inspired by fashion, today's high school senior portraits are about giving students a creative outlet for expression, while making them feel beautiful at the same time.
Each senior portrait session includes a two hour private session, indoor and outdoor locations, unlimited clothing changes, and a selection of 30-40 incredible images to choose from.
You can really personalize your portrait session by bringing props – your car, a musical instrument, prom dress, swimming suit, letterman’s jacket, bike, your best friend, a pet, or anything else you would like to incorporate into your senior portraits.
The entire experience is similar to a fashion model shoot. Careful planning is taken - from getting to know you, having a professional stylist do hair and make-up, and scouting out unique locations to enhance your best shots.
